Operation Christmas Curbside
Tuesday, December 8, from 4-7 PM
We are all facing a different kind of Christmas this year. Sadly, our annual Ladies Christmas Parties sponsored by the EdgeWomen's ministry will not take place this December. However, we believe that we have a great opportunity to make a difference in our community. Many families and individuals will also face a disappointing Christmas, but not because they have to miss one fun event. Many will experience the true loss of jobs, health, and well being.
To come along side our community during this difficult time, the EdgeWomen will be sponsoring Operation Christmas Curbside on Tuesday, December 8, from 4-7 PM. The entire Edgewood family is invited to participate. This is an opportunity to drive through and drop off gifts for those in need in our community. We will be joining with our area Go Team Partners to help those families and individuals.
These are the GO Team Partners that we are coming along side of during this season! Please drop off your gift/donation at Edgewood on Tuesday, December 8, from 4-7 PM.
Pregnancy Resources – Gift bags filled with personal gifts for women clients: Lotion, stationary, journals, candles, winter accessories, etc.
Youth Hope – New games or toys for boys or girls ages 6-11 years. Please wrap the gifts separately and put a post-it note on the gift indicating what it is and if it is for a boy or girl. Do not put anything on the gift saying it’s from you, so parents can give the gifts to their children.
Rock Island Christian Care – Paper products: toilet paper, paper towels, Kleenex or food napkins.
Local Domestic Abuse Shelter – Socks, hats, gloves, mittens for women or children.
Safe Families – Cash or check gifts to help with the cost of hosting a child. Your gift can be cash, or you can write a check to Edgewood Baptist Church with “Safe Families” in the memo. Note: We are unable to utilize Pushpay (our digital giving platform) for this financial gift.
